The first generation CTS-V was something really special. It emerged in 2004 with 400 HP, featuring suspension and handling capable enough to rival the European manufacturers that dominated sport sedans of the time. Its Nürburgring lap times made it a direct competitor, and sometimes an outperformer, to the BMW M3 and M5. The CTS-V absolutely achieved the goal of matching its European competitors.
This particular CTS-V has been very well maintained. It shifts smoothly, and the LS6 is incredibly responsive and powerful. Inside and out, it's a beautiful car that doesn't reflect its age. The first owner bought it new in 2005, and sold it after putting 9,000 miles on it. The second owner has held it since then, for nearly 21 years. It has always been a Southern car, living its entire life in North Carolina. With it, you'll still find its original owner's manual and window sticker.
This car is an excellent blend of American muscle and a refined driving experience. It feels responsive and stable when having some fun behind the wheel, and you feel those 400 ponies when you really need to accelerate. As a sedan, it elevates daily driving. You can get groceries and take the long way home, and still get back before the ice cream melts. You can put the whole family in the car, fill the spacious trunk with luggage, and still absolutely love the drive. This is a car where you don't have to choose responsibilities over fun.
